WhatsApp, the most widely used application by the Brazilian Internet, will be blocked by mobile operators from this Thursday (17) at midnight. The measure applies to mobile subscribers from Vivo, TIM, Claro, Hi, Sercomtel and Algar throughout the national territory. The Sinditelebrasil, union aggregates providers, did not report the reason for the decision.
So far, what is known is that the doWhatsApp blockade will be valid for 48 hours. Therefore, the messaging application - maintained by Facebook - should operate on Friday night to Saturday.
